On Christmas Eve, two children stay over at their Grandads house with Mum. Whilst helping with the decorations, they discover a family heirloom, an enchanting nativity tableau stable and wooden figures. When Mum and Grandad have gone to bed the children creep downstairs and find the tableau lit up by the bright light of a star shining through the window. The magical light brings the nativity characters to life and the children find themselves involved in the wonders of that magical night in Bethlehem.
