The Perfect Christmas Treat
After a Christmas party Clara, our feisty heroine, defeats an army of mice, and is rewarded by the Nutcracker Prince with a journey to the land of the Sweets. There she meets the Sugar Plum Fairy, and other well-loved characters from the ballet, visiting Russia, Arabia, China and England, far-flung corners of the Sweet's market place. Clara solves the kingdom's problems, and is transported back home to the Waltz of the Flowers.
The famous and catchy tunes are adapted for easy singing. Excellent backing tracks of the music are available, which have the option of either orchestral accompaniment, or the same with "Hooked On Classics" drum beats.
Like all Malcolm Sircom's hit shows, NUTCRACKER has a witty and humorous script, which makes it great fun to present, both for actors and staff - and, not least, the audience ! It also cleverly allows your best actors, singers and dancers full scope for their individual talents.

Malcolm Sircom
Malcolm read music at Cambridge University before entering the theatre as a Musical Director. Probably the highlight of his career was a 4 year world tour of the 'Rocky Horror Show'. At the same time he honed in his writing skills with a series of Pantomimes and Children's musicals, which were performed professionally all over the country including his hit 'Mr Men Musical' in London's West End.He started writing schools musicals with 'Ebenezer', which coincided with the launching of Musicline. Since then his many follow-ups have been so successful worldwide that they enabled him to retire from the theatre to concentrate solely on this aspect of his talents.
His major hobbies were bridge, cricket, and writing musicals for schools! People have often asked him if he is a teacher, as his shows have such a rapport with kids. He answered no - just an entertainer pure and simple, backed by the experience of years in the professional theatre.

A fantastic production
A fantastic production. Although difficult to begin with the music is beautiful and children thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. The show has a true Christmas magic and was enjoyed by one and all. A must for Christmas.
