Our year 6 pupils absolutely loved every aspect of Go For Gold!
The songs were really catchy and within days we had the whole school hooked on the songs.
We did 2 amazing shows in July 2012 and the second was a very special night for the children
as the show was watched by the writer himself 'Mr G Robinson'.

  10. The best yet! Review by Kath Pentney Year 6 Normanby Primary
    Star Rating

What a perfect show for the year of the London olympics!
Having 65 children in the year, it is often difficult to find a show that includes lots characters and lines for all of the children to take part. 'Go for Gold' included a good spread of speaking parts and great music!
The children absolutely loved it and learnt the catchy songs really quickly, which made life very easy for us as none of us in Year 6 are musically trained!
The whole school and parents thought it was brilliant and many comments reflected the feeling that it is very definitely the best show we have done yet!
Will definitely be back to Musicline next year!
Thank you from all at Normanby Primary. (Posted on 12/07/2012)

  18. Great :) Review by Annie, Martin Primary School, London
    Star Rating

This play is really great!! We are doing it for Yr6 Leavers show, and we were all expecting to do something like Matilda or Wizard of Oz.
We were slightly dissapointed when we got this, but now we've rehearsed it a couple of times we love it and wouldn't swap it for anything!!
I am Mikos Rafonus, and the understudy for Suzie Swift.
I think it is extremely relavent this year, as the Olympic Games are going to be held in London.
I would 100% reccomend this play for a Yr5-6 Production (our one is just yr6),
especially because there is no one main character, there are lots of big roles. (Posted on 26/06/2012)

This is an excellent way to learn and also have fun. I enjoyed doing this play as well as making the Props. In the play I was Phil 'o' Sophie. He has 45 lines and is Suzie Swift's trainer. It was extremely funny and here is an example.
Phil: Well it all goes back into the ancient Greeks.
Jack: A bit like Dad then, only he's an ancient GEEK! (Posted on 27/02/2012)

Very funny script with a few moral asides thrown in – historically accurate too. Songs are terrific – if this doesn’t whet your pupils’ Olympic appetites, nothing will! (Posted on 21/12/2011)
