Musicals For Schools, Amateur Theatre, Theatre Groups

We have just performed this to hoards of adoring fans. I chose this as I have done lots of amateur G and S myself. The piece is witty with lots of jokes which work on several levels. We showed the children some DVD footage of G and S productions to give them an idea of what we were doing a pastiche of. (Great for us as we have hundreds who want to be in the play and some could just be a fairy, some an islander and some policemen... (who got the most laughs with their amazing moustaches....) Choreography was easyish (most of the songs needed at least some movement, and we modelled a lot of ours on original G and S style. You would need a good MD as there is some quite challenging solo singing (Daisy and Christopher particularly) and part singing. Everyone has pronounced it the best show we have ever done!
